Worst experience of my life I shipped all my household items with this company and my wife's car I get quoted one price on the phone once they have you price goes up happened twice on 2 different situations I'd go with anyone besides this company I called another company and had my truck shipped within 2 days for 1/3 lower which is substantial when they have repeatedly jacked the price up once I agree not to mention the missing stuff or the broken irreplaceable stuff from my grandmother and no one cares even there supposed GM can't call me back sounds shady and is shady worst experience ever I spent 5,000 dollars with this company I can't get a call back?! The mover didn't unwrap the stuff they unloaded and bailed said if you have any claims you have 90 days and drove off like something was up like my solid wood eagle was broken in 3 pieces my ladder is still missing and my truck is being shipped with another company believe me pick anyone else rent a container do t sell your stuff go direct with Matson !!! I am utterly disgusted with this company. I have submitted reviews about them on Better Business Bureau's website as well and I will be submitting a new one today about them to cap this off! So if anyone is looking for some serious reviews about City Moving, I got you covered. I have been back and fourth with these people since I allowed them to pick up my household goods in Jan 2017. I am now in a claims battle with them because my property was damaged and some missing, I left a message and received no call back as of current. They have denied my claim saying that I did not "purchase" their insurance when I was told it was included in the price of the move from Maryland to Hawaii. I am flat sick of these people honestly. DO NOT TRUST THEM with your household items!!!! Oh and if any type of review is left, they will be sure to reach out to you about it, because they feel their reputation is on the chopping block, which is it, if they did right by people this would not be happening....so if you are reading this, go in a different direction for your moving needs. Go directly through Matson!
Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! This review is for the California Headquarters. This company made my move from Maryland to Hawaii (picked up on 30 Jan 2017 wasn't delivered until almost April) a flat nightmare, my household items sat in New Jersey for 2 months before they were shipped out. I was told too many lies by the employees and the manager saying I would be cc'd in the emails of transit of my good, and after my 1st review with the BBB, they took $50 off the delivery fee which was still $1200 by the way -_-. I kept called and getting the run around by these people, I called to get an update about my claim and the young lady told me there was a letter mailed and she could not discuss MY claim with me over the phone...I was like seriously, you should be able to answer the question I am asking. Come to find out they denied my claim, so I am out to warn everyone about this company and their lack of customer service and honor to their contracts.
HORRIBLE! Worst moving company! 6 pieces of fine furniture broken and in pieces.... none of the furniture or glass was packed correctly. Packing slip mislabeled, pieces of items are missing, had to file police report! Unbelievable damage and no care in packing items at all. Paintings were laid on each other and wrapped in a blanket, glass shelves left in the cabinets, all broken, not wrapped. Oil painting was slit because of lack of wrapping. What the hell, this is suppose to be a moving company. I should have gone with Kona Trans all my things before when shipped ALL arrived in 1 piece. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with this whole experience.
I just had a great experience with City Movers today! Even though I was all the way in Philadelphia these guys were able to communicate and cooperate with me clearly and kindly from a far to get all of my furniture out of my storage unit in Honolulu and on its way here to PA. Male' and his crew made a stressful time for me much easier! Thank you so much! I would recommend and refer this company and Male' and his team to anyone moving. Much mahalos!
